My Hitting Instruction Approach
I take a collaborative, solution-focused approach to hitting instruction—working closely with each athlete to identify strengths, address challenges, and develop a personalized plan for growth. Every hitter is unique, and success comes from understanding both the mental and physical aspects of the game.
In-person sessions are designed to engage all three primary learning styles: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic ("feel"). This multi-dimensional approach ensures that each player not only understands the mechanics but also builds the confidence and body awareness needed for consistent performance. Whether you're refining your swing or building a mental edge, my goal is to help you become a more focused, adaptable, and effective hitter.
With over 30 years of experience in player development, I bring a rare blend of high-level baseball coaching and behavioral expertise to help athletes unlock their full potential. As a former head college baseball coach and professional scout, I’ve trained extensively in swing design, performance psychology, goal setting, and communication. Alongside my career in athletics, I’ve served as a veteran special education teacher and behavior interventionist, specializing in calming strategies, emotional regulation, and replacement thinking.
This dual experience—on the field and in the classroom—has shaped a unique coaching approach that bridges the gap between mental discipline and physical performance. I help athletes gain clarity, control self-destructive habits, and stay grounded under pressure—so they can perform their best when it matters most

Virtual sessions are tailored to address both the psychological and physical demands of competition. Using strategies drawn from behavioral science and real-world coaching and teaching experience, I help athletes develop emotional regulation, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure.
